I remember so many people crapping on these guys because they said they were trying to be BMTH. I'm so glad they were able to get away from that and develop their own sound. They deserve the hype they have gotten but I can't wait until the TikTok crowd gets bored with them so it's actually possible to get tickets for their shows.

I can’t remember if I just disliked sempiternal or straight up hated it when it came out. I had just gotten into heavier “Deathcore” and shit. It’s funny when I started listening to Bmth, Chelsea smile kinda threw me off cuz it was heavier than what I was use to. So it’s funny how that transitioned from me thinking “suicide season” was too heavy when I started out to it then not being heavy enough. I had also joined a band and was doing the guttural and high vocals and was looking into heavier artists that I wanted to try and learn things from. Anyway sempiternal came out a little after I turned 16 and I don’t remember when I fell inlove with the album but by the time I was 17 it was by far my favorite album as far as any mentalcore/deathcore went. The emotion all the album is in a league of its own. I don’t listen to metal much anymore but I always revisit sempiternal, Suicide Season, There is a hell. Bmth was so ahead of their time.

Jordan Fish ruined the band. They made some of the best music on the planet, then slowly devolved into poppy nonsense. Amo was pretty much the breaking point, and I think they felt it, because their next release started to backtrack. Now that they realized what was holding them back, maybe they can return to their roots, but I’m not holding my breath.

I am not a follower of nightwish, and just discovered later they had changing singers... but for me Tarja is the best, for me is the identity of nightwish, rock with classical opera singer, her voice is in another level, like the woman here said, you get chills from her voice.
